As Interim Business Development Manager, you will be part of setting up processes and professionalize this organization.

Job Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Business Development Manager a.i. capable of creating and executing the engagement model of my client. This engagement model is a strategic framework designed to ensure that my client optimizes its processes for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, driving growth. Success in this role is measured by your ability to effectively implement a well-functioning engagement model, ultimately leading to the establishment of new partnerships and the expansion of their stakeholders base.

The challenge lies in the fact that my client operates in a space where there’s no tangible product to sell; instead, it’s about transforming an entire industry. This requires creative thinking when crafting tailored engagements for different groups. The key is to convert stakeholders who may not be familiar with my client into committed supporters who actively contribute to their mission of digitizing the Shipping Container Industry.

Responsibilities and duties:

  • Engagement Strategy: This aspect focuses on creating a systematic approach for engaging with contacts. It outlines the types of communication, content, and activities needed to educate, inform, and establish trust with potential relation and convert them to engaged loyal relations.
  • Description of end goals: Make it very specific what the objectives/ end goals are for each stakeholder group, clearly define when a specific stakeholder group is engaged.
  • Identification of necessary capabilities and assets: Provided a clear description of the essential skills, resources, and assets required to support the successful implementation of the engagement model.
  • Contact point identification: This deliverable involves identifying and defining the specific individuals within the organization who will be responsible for engaging with potential clients or leads. Describe what knowledge, capabilties and skills these individuals need to perform.
  • Metrics and analytics: This deliverable emphasizes the implementation of measurement and tracking mechanisms to evaluate the success of lead nurturing efforts using Salesforce.
  • Alignment and education across the organization: Ensured that the entire organization is well-informed and aligned with the key steps of engagement
  • Conduct 5-10 test cases: Execute a series of 5-10 test cases to evaluate and enhance the engagement process, ensuring its effectiveness and reliability.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated success in partner management, sales operations , lobbying or business development, at least 8 years experience in such a role
  • Experience in B2B industries with a complex stakeholder landscape
  • Experience in logistics (preferred)
  • Capable of developing effective engagement strategies aligned with organizational goals
  • Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce (preferred)
  • Master or Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field
