The Program Director for Container Terminals  and Feeders a.i. will be responsible for leading strategic business development initiatives aimed at expanding partnerships and engaging new members in our standards development programs and solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development, coupled with deep knowledge of feeder and container terminal operations. The primary goal is to drive the adoption of our standards, broaden our impact, and showcase the tangible value our products offer to partners through successful pilot projects and collaborative standard creation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Partnership Engagement:
  • Drive revenue growth by identifying, negotiating, and securing new high-impact partnerships that align with our strategic goals.
  • Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with the top leading container terminals and feeders worldwide, expanding our partnership network.
  • Craft compelling business cases and proposals that effectively communicate the value of our standards, products, and partnership opportunities, showcasing the tangible benefits to prospective partners.
  1. Partnership Membership Growth:
  • Expand our membership by bringing major feeder organizations into the fold, driving active participation in our standards programs and leveraging product opportunities for mutual growth.
  • Onboard major container terminals to our partnership program, fostering collaboration in co-creating industry standards, exploring innovative product opportunities, and co-developing impactful pilot projects.
  1. Standard Adoption & Pilot Projects:
  • Drive partner participation in the development and implementation of new standards.
  • Manage pilot projects that showcase the efficiency and ROI of our standards for container terminals and feeder operations.
  • Facilitate workshops and working groups to foster collaboration and gather insights for standards refinement.
  1. Product
  • Present our product offerings and solutions to stakeholders, highlighting how they address industry pain points and drive operational efficiency.
  • Engage with prospective partners and members to build strong relationships and foster interest in collaborative projects and pilot initiatives.
  • Encourage member participation in pilot projects, showcasing the benefits of early adoption and co-creation opportunities.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, gathering feedback and translating customer needs into product enhancements and new initiatives.
  1. Advocacy & Endorsements:
  • Secure partner endorsements through case studies, testimonials, and joint social media campaigns.
  • Facilitate the creation of impactful marketing content, including video testimonials and thought leadership contributions from partners.
  1. Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Work closely with internal teams (e.g., Standards Development, Product and Marketing) to align initiatives and ensure cohesive execution.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for partners, providing strategic guidance and support to maximize value for all parties involved.

Qualifications:

(You have to live in The Netherlands. My client does not offer relocation or immigration services (VISA). You must be eligible to work in the Netherlands)

  • Master or Bachelor’s degree in business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in business development or strategic partnerships within the maritime, logistics, or container terminal industry.
  • A seasoned leader adept at engaging and influencing senior stakeholders, including C-suite executives, with confidence and strategic insight.
  • Strong understanding of container terminal operations and feeder logistics, with a proven ability to drive impactful initiatives.
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving results in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Experience in driving digital transformation or standards adoption is a plus.
  • Expertise in CRM systems, including Salesforce, and other relevant software tools.
