Job Overview

My client is expanding the product team, and hiring a Interim Senior product leader & mentor who goes beyond execution. As the Senior product leader & mentor, you’ll be a strategic advisor, coach, and thought leader. Your expertise will empower the Chief Product Officer, guide Product Owners, and elevate the entire product team.

Responsibilities and Duties:

As a Senior product leader & mentor , you’ll wear two crucial hats: strategic visionary and empowering coach. You will part of the product team responsible for executing the product ambition. Your leadership will extend beyond product management. You’ll become a strategic partner, elevating the entire product team’s capabilities. This means working closely with the Chief Product Officer, providing insightful analysis to influence high-level product decisions. At the same time, you’ll guide Product Owners through mentorship, equipping them with the skills and knowledge to excel in their roles. Through this collaborative approach, you’ll cultivate a culture of excellence across the entire team, unlocking their full potential to build products that make change. This role is ideal for a passionate leader who has built exceptional products and thrives on shaping the future of their product landscape.

The Senior product leader & mentor should expect to:

• Champion a coaching culture: Mentor Product Owners, unlock their potential, and foster a collaborative environment.
• Provide strategic guidance to the CPO: Offer insightful perspectives and drive high-level product decisions.
• Lead critical initiatives: Tackle specific project challenges requiring your seasoned product expertise.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 15 years of experience as a product leader or equivalent role.
• Proven track record of successfully developing, launching and running products at industry level
• Experience in building product teams, coaching and mentoring product owners and creating a culture of innovation
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with experience working cross-functionally.
• Experience working with stakeholders at all levels, including executives, engineers, designers, and marketing teams.
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to analyze markets, identify opportunities, make data-driven product decisions, and define a compelling long-term vision.
• Product Strategy & Roadmap Development: Expertise in crafting product strategies that align with business goals and user needs, and translating them into actionable roadmaps.
• Coaching & Mentorship: Skills to coach and develop product owners, fostering their  leadership and product management capabilities.
• Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication skills to clearly convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.  Adept at fostering collaboration across different teams.
• Experience in logistics / shipping is a plus but not a must

You have to live in The Netherlands. My client does not offer relocation or immigration services (VISA). You must be eligible to work in the Netherlands.
